cleaning in between window and storm window when you can't take off the storm window.?

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 2 Comments »

Is there any way to clean between the window and storm window without taking off the storm window? Would a steam cleaner work to get the dirt and grime from in between the two? They also put a sun film on the storm window and it is bubbling. I am trying to find an easy way to clean these windows. Any ideas?

Can upholstered funiture be steam cleaned?

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 1 Comment »

I got some furniture from family. It is about 10 years old. It is clean, but smells like perfume and body products. I want a fresh start for it in my home. Can this stuff be steam cleaned? Does this kill dust mites? What kind of company does this? Can it be done after if has been scotch guarded? This has been many years ago.

Any help is appreciated. This is for fabric furniture a type of soft denum. Another piece is woven. Does this kill bacteria and viruses too?
Wow JR can I get a better answer than that. I just do not know where to get a person like that. I guess I will have to call a hospital and see who they use.

I want to get my car's engine and underbody steam cleaned?

Posted on September 1st, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 6 Comments »

Can I do it myself? What kind of steam cleaner do I rent or buy if that is the case, and where can I get it?

If I have someone else do it, should I try detail shops first?
I’d like to add that just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing.

I have put some moderately advanced modifications on my car as well as fixed some issues my car had.

I purchased a secondhand white couch. What is the best method of cleaning?

Posted on September 1st, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 1 Comment »

I have used a bissel carpet cleaner with some Purple Power and it has lifted some of the dirt. The slip covers for the cushions have been put through the washer and are much whiter than the rest of the couch. I really just want the couch color to be as close to the color of the cushions as possible. Would a steam cleaner work better? Thanks.

Need help, steam cleaned carpeting and it is so sticky?

Posted on August 31st, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 4 Comments »

My kids seem to not listen when running around the house without shoes on and also with their socks on. They seem to either run bare foot or track mud all over the place. Well I steam cleaned my carpeting with my Bissell and followed the manufacturers recommendations on how much solution to put in my steam cleaner. Well now the carpeting is sticky and if anyone runs through the house it automatically shows the dirt. It looks horrible and I want a clean carpet, not one that smells like feet and old socks.

I need a good, affordable steam cleaner for my kitchen floors and my carpeting. NOT a shampooer, as they leave moisture which can cause the growth of bacteria. Please help, so far I have only found them for tile. Help!! My floor is dirty!

Has anyone ever tried a small steam cleaner, you know the kind for around the house, bathrooms, kitchens, ect? I have three boys, so the bathrooms are a little difficult and I have been thinking about trying one of those little steam cleaners. Has anyone had good results, or one they would recommend?
