and vapor steam cleaners

Thanks Megsy. I clicked on your links, then tried vapor steam and found a calculator about how vapor saves you money because you don’t have to buy chemicals. I’m not sure if this is true about steam. I did a little more clicking and found a neat cleaning quiz that answered my question. Steam and vapor are different after all. The quiz explains why. Let me know how you score.

How many people use a steam cleaner?

I like that they use just water-no fumes or chemicals etc. And I have found that the steam cleans things even the decent cleaners don’t!

What method of carpet cleaning can be done without damaging fine art paintings?

I’m arranging carpet cleaning for a customer who has an extensive amount of fine art paintings in his home. Is there a certain method of carpet cleaning that is safe for use around artwork (I’m afraid that steam cleaning or chemicals may damage the artwork), or will we just have to move it all out before the carpets are cleaned?

can you use a hoover carpet steam cleaner without chemicals?

does anyone know if there are any carpet steam cleaners (that actually work good) on the market that you do not need to use a chemical cleaning solution in addition to the steam. I have a baby, so there are constantly messes, ie) spit up and pee getting on to my carpets. I want to clean them, however do not want to use any chemicals that he will come in contact with when on the floor.

I don’t want to use chemicals or sprays as we’ve been dealing with cancer in the past.

Carpet cleaning company questions – steam clean or dry clean?

Posted on April 28th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 5 Comments »

I’m calling in a company to have my carpets cleaned. One place I called said they use the dry cleaning method. ??? I’m not familiar with that. Has anybody used it? I worry that it’s even safe because I have pets and a new baby! That (dry cleaning method) sounds like too many chemicals to me. Anybody know? We had an older dog that peed on the floor and got sick often so they really need to be cleaned good!
