and vapor steam cleaners

Thanks Megsy. I clicked on your links, then tried vapor steam and found a calculator about how vapor saves you money because you don’t have to buy chemicals. I’m not sure if this is true about steam. I did a little more clicking and found a neat cleaning quiz that answered my question. Steam and vapor are different after all. The quiz explains why. Let me know how you score.

Professional car detailing or do it yourself by renting steam cleaner from grocery store?

Posted on June 23rd, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 5 Comments »

I’ve never had my car detailed. My carpet has gone though years of coffee spills and spot cleaning. I recently called a local detailer and found out they charge 9. I’m wondering if anyone has ever tried to detail themselves by renting the steam cleaners at the grocery store or if I should just pay the money for the detailing.

Who has a big house with a lot of tile?

How do you clean it? Anyone use Hoover Floor Mate, Bissell Flip It, or Lysol Steam Cleaning Mop? It seems there’s got to be an easier way than sweeping and mopping but I don’t want to waste my money on something that doesn’t work and just ends up taking up space.

Carpet cleaning what is best?

Posted on May 31st, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 3 Comments »

When we moved into our house, the carpets were a couple years old but not in bad shape at all. We have been there a couple years now, and we decided to wait for a while till the kids got older to replace them. I have dogs and cats too. We have ALOT of visitors. I was thinking about replacing the front door with a revolving one. Haven’t really had a lot of accidents or spills, but we have heavy traffic. It must have been much more heavier than the last people who lived there. They were already starting to mat and get really heavy traffic dirt. I have used my sisters Bissell steam cleaner but it didn’t do too much. What is the best cleaner. A rented one like Rug Doctor? do they do well? Is it worth the money to get a Professional clean with matted carpets and high traffic dirt? I want to replace it before we move to the new home but not for a year or 2. I am sick of the traffic areas. There is no sense in me putting down area rugs since they get moved and kicked up by the dogs and the many visitors we have every couple days.

Does anyone use a Steam Cleaner?

Posted on May 19th, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 2 Comments »

to clean their hardwood floors? I keep seeing advertisements for these like the Bissell or Shark steam cleaners and just wondering if they are worth the money. I hate mopping and thought this may work better. Do they work, if so which do you recommend? Thanks!

What is the best carpet steam cleaner on the market?

Posted on March 29th, 2010 in Buy Steam Cleaner | 4 Comments »

I want to buy a steam cleaner for my carpet. I have pets and we have the occasional accident or tracking in of mud, plus I’ve got soda stains, etc. I don’t expect to be able to get all of the stains out but I do want to get my carpet nice and clean as possible. I am willing to invest more money for a better machine. What is the best steam cleaner on the market? Any suggestions?
Okay, then what is the best hot water extaction machine?
