Crashvey: About how long after 3/4 pot of coffee and lots of cleaning and laundry does it take to lose steam?

Mind you, person in question only got about five hours total of sleep, and has been puppy sitting the boxer, and gave said boxer a bath, which is a giant chore in and of itself.
Said person also made dinner and did lots of dishes, and still has to clean the guinea pig cage.
Said person wishes she could painlessly sew her eyes open temporarily.

Is it better to rent a steam cleaner or just buy one as far as how much it will cost?

Posted on August 17th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 3 Comments »

My puppy just dragged my potted plant all over the carpet and i vacuumed it but of course now it looks horrible.

How much does it usually cost to rent a steam cleaner? Does it make more sense to just buy one? (I guess I may have answered my own question since I have a puppy and this is likely to happen again with something else) But any thoughts would be great.

We have a puppy who just won’t stop peeing on our carpet. The smell is killing me. Please help. (Any other tips for getting this smell out are also welcome). Thanks! (We have steam cleaned twice in the past couple months, but don’t want to do it too much if it hurts the carpet).

Best way to clean the (fabric upholstery) seats in my car?

Posted on June 20th, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 2 Comments »

Big problem! I REALLY need to clean the seats of my car, but a detailing place who will steam clean would be very pricey. Things have spilled recently, like milk (yikes!) and tea, and my puppy is an added factor. The car has an odd smell, and the seats have water marks on them. I don’t want to scrub with just an upholstery foam cleaner & brush, I need a deep cleaning. I purchased a hand wet vac, but my question is: What is the best method to clean these seats using a wet vac? What solution or product should I use? How wet should I get the seats before vacuuming the soap & water out of them? Is there something I need to be aware of (such as, is it not a good idea to wet vac the seats in the first place)?
I have all kinds of cleaners (resolve, bissell, etc) that I use on my house carpet due to the puppy. I have two wet vacs (a 9.6v and a 12v), and also some Febreeze for Auto (just to keep it smelling fresh afterwards) I just need some advice on how to do this effectively and get them CLEAN, free of odor and random markings. I’ll be cleaning the floor carpet and floor mats as well, if you have any tips for those.
Please help! I want to do the best job possible and do it correctly, I just need some tips or "do’s" and "do not’s" .
Thanks!!!

Does steam cleaning really help pet stains.?

Posted on June 7th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 11 Comments »

We just got a new puppy and she obviously isn’t potty trained yet. We rent a home so I don’t want there to be stains all over, we are trainging her but she still has accidents, so I’m just wondering if Stanley Steamers came here if they could get them out later. Could anyone also give me tips on how to potty train my pup??

How do I get pet urine stains out of my carpet??

Posted on June 5th, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 10 Comments »

Well our cat has sprayed in every closet (yes he IS neutered)…because he was mad that we got a puppy. Who in turn has peed EVERYWHERE…(not the brightest…but we still have hope…she is a doll baby :) )

How do I get the smell out. I have a steam cleaner but under a UV (blacklight) the spots are still there…along with the smell. The smell deminishes for a bit, but seems to come back after a little while.

I have used the Bissell "Pet Soil and Odor" with no success.

I do not care how much it costs…I do not care what I have to do (aside from getting rid of them…no way) to make the smell go away.

I have also tried vinager, vinager and water, water, and spot stuff…don’t remember the name.

Again…any help would be GREATLY appriciated. I would like something that I could put into my steamer as the WHOLE carpet needs to be done.

Will steam cleaning my carpet remove roundworm eggs?

Posted on May 12th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 4 Comments »

We have a puppy with roundworms (we are treating her with dewormer) and she has had a couple of accidents in the house. They were picked up immediately and removed, then the area was cleaned with pet cleaner but I am afraid the eggs are still there.

best steam cleaner for stains and bacteria?

Posted on May 2nd, 2010 in Buy Steam Cleaner | 1 Comment »

I recently had a puppy with a disease that is contagious and she went to the bathroom a lot on my carpet…I first tried different carpet cleaners but they didn’t work too well and now I know I need to kill the bacteria as well. Would a steam cleaner kill the bacteria as well or the rug doctor?
