I have been reading some reviews online, and I’m really getting mixed reviews on these two machines. I have a Beagle and I thought it would be nice to have this machine for the furniture, to clean the matress and any other accidents on the floor. Has anyone used either of these and what are you opinions on them? I hear a lot of complaints about the soap clogging up the Bissell Little green steamer and the sprayer not working…

I have a steam cleaner and recently found that I can make my own solution for it with oxyClean for a lot less. The down side is most of these recipes say to mix it in with the water because that’s how most cleaners work, mine is a self mixer, it has two tanks, one for solution the other for water. How would I go about making a concentrated solution for my kind of steamer?

I know that this cleaner is safe on all floor types, even carpet, and sofas and bedding/cribs… it seems like it could be safe to use on childrens toys too. I just dont want to buy another steamer, for toys, if I dont have to.
If so, why? If not, why not?

Hello.
I have the Toby steamer, and the Toby potable steamer with the brush attachment. I was wondering what would be the best way to get spots out of the fabrics that I am going to steam clean? Which would work best, a wash cloth with water and rub the spot out first, or put a piece of fabric over the steamer head and then steam the spot out? Or is there a better way to target spots on clothes that I want to steam clean only, and not wash in the normal clothes washer? I am new to the whole steam cleaning my own clothes, but I have done a few items and I am satisfied with my Toby steamer. The only thing that I am having trouble with is determining which way I should go about removing the spots, because the steamer head alone doesn’t seem to get out all of the spots. Thanks in advance, and God bless you all.

Well our cat has sprayed in every closet (yes he IS neutered)…because he was mad that we got a puppy. Who in turn has peed EVERYWHERE…(not the brightest…but we still have hope…she is a doll baby
)
How do I get the smell out. I have a steam cleaner but under a UV (blacklight) the spots are still there…along with the smell. The smell deminishes for a bit, but seems to come back after a little while.
I have used the Bissell "Pet Soil and Odor" with no success.
I do not care how much it costs…I do not care what I have to do (aside from getting rid of them…no way) to make the smell go away.
I have also tried vinager, vinager and water, water, and spot stuff…don’t remember the name.
Again…any help would be GREATLY appriciated. I would like something that I could put into my steamer as the WHOLE carpet needs to be done.

my dog has stained the carpet, I need a good steam cleaner and carpet shampoo, I had planned to go get the portable bissell spot steam cleaner just for now because it is on sale. but I need a full size steamer, also I tried the pets and kids stain and deoderizer and also the oxyclean rug shampoo but it doesn’t seem to be helping the dog is pooping in the same spot and now we have a yellow stain. also someone said to try white vinegar???? has anyone heard of this and does it work? please answer before I kill the dog, he has been relieving himself on the carpet for four days now. I take him outside prior to taking the kids to school, I just brought him a crate today. but I really need an excellent product to use on the carpet stains.
mike k, I was being sarcastic I’m not going to kill my dog.

I recently bought a steam cleaning machine at a tag sale. It works well but there is a white residue inside. How can I remove this so the steamer can be used in the kitchen without fear of actually contaminating the very surfaces I want to steam clean? Thanks, Jay

I have a Dirt Devil steam cleaner and don’t want to use any type of soap or detergent and no product with soap or detergent. However, sometimes I need more than just hot water. Has anyone ever used baking soda with the water or white vinegar? Is there any reason to think it will hurt the machine? It’s not really a steamer, you just fill the plastic tank with hot tap water. Thank you!
