What works better the BISSELL steam and sweep or the Shark vac then mop?

Posted on December 21st, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 1 Comment »

I desperately need help keeping my floors clean 3 small kids and my whole house is tile , its impossible to keep my floor clean and sweeping and mopping is way too time consuming . So I am undecided which product works better they both have mostly good reviews and are in my price range. The BISSELL the sweeping and mopping at the same time , but im concerned about the suction on the BISSELL . On the other hand the shark look like it has better suction but you have to vac first then mop. So is there any one out there has tried both and know which is better ?
THANKS FOR THE HELP

What's a good steam cleaner for tile AND CARPET?

Posted on August 31st, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 1 Comment »

I need a good, affordable steam cleaner for my kitchen floors and my carpeting. NOT a shampooer, as they leave moisture which can cause the growth of bacteria. Please help, so far I have only found them for tile. Help!! My floor is dirty!

I am looking for a versatile steam cleaner that can do floors as well as detail kitchen and bathroom cleaning.?

I have looked at several steam cleaners. I need one that will do a great job on tile, hardwood and carpet. The Haan supposedly leaves the carpet dry, and I like that very much. It also has an optional short handle that allows you to clean upholstery and bedding—something that I need for a child who has asthma. But it doesn’t seem to do the detail bathroom and kitchen cleaning that I am also looking for.

A friend who has one of the Monsters swears by its ability to clean the kitchen. She even steam cleans the inside of her oven with it. I need a product that does both detail cleaning and floors.

Does anyone have any success stories? I am a single, working mom. The cleaner needs to be affordable and easy to use.

Does anyone know the name of the mult-surface steam vac that has been showing on infomercials?

I saw this mult-surface steam vac that could be used on both tile and carpet. I thought the brand was bissell but have been unable to find it. I believe it had about 6 orange rotating heads on it. That show it cleaning some spilled red juice on white tile among other things.
Actually it’s a steam vac for carpet cleaning and tile cleaning it uses hot water and solution.

Will Steam Cleaning remove pet odors from ceramic tile and grout?

I know that steam cleaning carpet seals in the odors and doesn’t remove them, but what about grout and tile? Will steam cleaning tile and grout with a steamer mop remove pet odors?
