Can you give me a checklist of things you would include in a very thourough cleaning of an empty house in order to get it sanatized and looking good? I know vacuum, steam clean, etc. but I need to know of all the little details I might not think of. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a steam cleaner/vacuum to…?

Posted on July 19th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 7 Comments »

get the stains and smell of urine out of my furniture? I’ve got a cat that’s…well let’s just say hasn’t been very good lately. I’ve tried every product, spray, you name it and none of it works. I figure steam cleaning it might work plus I need a new vacuum anyway. Has anyone been in this situation before? What would you recommend?

What is the best steam/water cleaning vacuum?

Posted on July 16th, 2010 in Steam Cleaning | 3 Comments »

I have two cats and a dog that have made my off white carpeting rather unpleasant and have come to the conclusion that I need to purchase a steam/water cleaning vacuum to end the recurring trips to the store to rent the rug doctor. I am trying to decide the best one to purchase. I am willing to spend anything up to 0 because between the vomiting, hairballs and accidents, I will have use for it at least once a week if not more. What is most important is how well it cleans the carpet and reliability. Does anyone have a steam cleaner that they like? or suggestions for what to avoid? Thanks…

A lot of similar questions have been asked on here but the answers given point to carpet CLEANING machines. I’m looking for a vacuum that has STEAMING capabilities. The machines in the grocery stores like Rug Doc. are just shampoo machines with scrubbing brushes. Thanks for any help!

Do deep cleaning vacuums pick up dog hair?

Posted on June 17th, 2010 in Bissell Steam Cleaner | 5 Comments »

Hello, I am in the market for a Bissell ProHeat 2X deep cleaning vacuum, but I read somewhere that deep cleaning vacuums only suck up the water/solution and that they do not pick up dog hair. I have a dog and the hair is what really needs to be vacuumed up, but I assumed that a deep cleaning vacuum would pick it up as well as "steam" the carpet. Does anyone know about this?
